About me

My name is Jo and I am the founder of Eat Play Love Crochet. I love crochet and thrive off teaching people new skills. Crochet is a skill that promotes mindfulness, problems solving, maths and creativity. There is also research indicating crochet can be beneficial for people with ADHD and can help prevent dementia and Alzheimer's disease.  I offer free classes in Kensington and Chelsea and also am available for private classes and special events!

TESTIMONIAL

"I'm an advanced crocheter, currently learning Mosaic crochet. I come to this class to learn new skills and socialise, which has a positive impact on my mental health." - Jackie

"I learnt how to knit more than 15 years ago and didn't do it for long before giving up. Jo taught me how to crochet in about 30 minutes and I have been OBSESSED with it ever since. She is so patient and empowering in her approach to teaching that it makes me feel ok to make mistakes. She never makes me feel like I've asked a silly question and she goes above and beyond to explain things that I can't wrap my head around. She encourages curiosity and make learning really fun. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. As someone with severe ADHD, Jo has given me the gift of ultimate relaxation and that is absolutely priceless. If you're thinking of learning, BOOK HER ASAP because I promise, you won't find a better teacher!!! - Nasra (Nasra crocheted the scarf in the picture above)
